0 I have 0 points 👴
Right there with ya.
Same and some of these things I’ve done in the last couple years.
Zero as well. Damn we’re old 👴
Young Matt Damon fades into old Matt Damon.
Same and I’m not even 30 ^^`
Yuuuup.
Same what a feel bad meme.
0 point gang rise up.
But don’t rise too quickly. I know our backs don’t like that.
I have 1 point but only because there was never a Blockbuster in Germany. Can I rise too?
Also german, I guess any spot to take out videos counts also. So welcome to the “0 point club”.
You can rise… But let’s be extra careful with raising that right arm.
Same, 1 point because no Blockbuster in NZ
The fire rises brother! (OK, not an appropriate quote, just wanted to say it.)
I assume there was an equivalent service though?
Hey folks, is this where the old farts are hanging out? Point me toward the bathroom, I’ll be a while.
Preach on, brother. Just came back from my physio. He did some dry needling on my lower back because it ain’t what it used to be when I was still Wired for Sound.
Yeah I can’t recall using a typewriter seriously, but for sure I’ve used on for fun. Also trying to get a commodore 64 to print my homework in 1992 should aub in nicely.
My great aunt left me her typewriter when she passed. My father holds onto it as I have nowhere too to store it and he enjoys using it from time to time. It’s becoming harder and harder to find replacement ribbons or people that can repair it at all, but it’s still kicking. I typed out a few short papers on it in highschool just for fun.
I’m not 100% sure that’s the exact model I have but it looks like the right one.
I learned to type on one of these. I still can’t unlearn the habit of having to use actual force to type - my neighbours can hear my typing on my mechanical keyboard. :D
I did unlearn the two spaces after a ‘.’ so that’s a win at least.
Yup, flat zero.
I am reporting this post.
…. 0 points…. 🙂
Hello old friend
Yeah, the hurts-to-get-out-of-bed is real.
1 Point, we don’t use cheques in Germany. Maybe 2 points, but I’d count my local Videotheque as the equivalent of the “Blockbuster” video chain.
3, same with the cheques in Germany
Actually… https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eurocheque
(I never used one, but remember my parents paying with it at the supermarket)
Still nothing compared to how it’s used in the US.
I’ve never seen a cheque in my entire life and it’s so incredibly niche that you might as well talk about paying with stocks or gold bars.
I write an average of about 3 checks per month, even now.
I’m exactly the same, only i’m from the Netherlands
There was a time when people used cheques in Germany. I remember my father using them ages ago
Zero points.
1 because despite being born in the early 80s, paper checks are for old people and Americans
Millennial with a big fat 0 over here
2 points, but only because we don’t have blockbuster where I’m from, I have rented movies though. I have also never used a check to pay for anything.
1 point for the same reason, but having used traveler’s cheques :)
Same.
0
0 :( one of my guitar amps I hacked together out of a Walkman so I could practice while waiting for the bus how many negative points do I get
Your age is 40 minus your number of points.
I’m 60 so I’ll take 40.
40-4 points is 36, I’m turning 35 this year 😹 only missed it by a year
40-14 is also off by half a year, dang
Gasp, burn the witch
I’ll need a couple of negative points for that to hold true.
I just turned 45. But I have 1 point. I’d happily pretend to be 39 though.
Ouch… aged three years in a single day.
Oof this is too accurate
A perfect zero. I have done all of those things and more that the creator of that list can’t even imagine. Things that were everyday common but have faded beyond memory, (and aren’t missed at all).
3 points. 90s kid. The early 2000s still had remnants of a lot of this stuff.
Zeeeero!
- No Blockbuster in Germany, and noone uses checks here.
Edited from Europe to Germany as some pointed out that there is Blockbuster and checks in other countries
