I was wondering the same thing when I found it. The anime looking character isn’t familiar to me, and the knight looks like something from Dark Souls.
Yeah, a lot of newspaper-printed comics haven’t always gone for a big punchline, especially the much older ones like this. Sometimes it’s just charm or a more episodic “I wonder what [familiar character] is getting up to today!”
I’d say even a more modern one like Calvin and Hobbes would fall into a similar category.
Why is the last panel killing me, lol
Haha, can’t you see that he’s just a calm, compassionate man who would never hurt a fly!
Well now you’ve spoiled my new star wars movie.
Outside of tag (I guess), it’s like chatting someone up.
Just trying to do my part!
I think I’m just about out of peaceful ones, lol
Actively managing your algorithm and feed is essential to keeping your sanity these days. There’s so much good content out there, but there’s even more garbage.
The comic started in 1905, so he’s actually 119!
Tiberian Sun! I haven’t thought of that one in forever.
I really thought it was a fake at first too.
I was warned and yet I clicked.
I have so many fond memories of it.
I remember reading about how mind-blowing and “next gen” the graphics on the Dreamcast were at the time. All the kids seemed really interested in it, but we hadn’t had long enough with the previous gen to justify our parents buying a new system already.
One friend wound up actually getting it, and we played the hell out of it for a few years.
I thought so too at first, but it sort of released in a window between the previous gen and these. They marketed it as “next gen” like they were beating the newer gen to market, but it was just terrible timing.
Mine is an Atari 2600. It’s my dad’s old one that I used to play as a kid, so it has a lot of sentimental value to me.
I’m excited for it. I usually don’t find FPS games that are primarily PVE very enjoyable, but Doom is the major exception.
You’re right, how did I miss that?
