Idk if this is an effective life hack but I’ve seen a few instances where just appealing makes things go away (whether they were warranted or not).

Just last week I had a friend appeal a ticket just because he didn’t realize it was paid parking, they let him go as a first time incident.

My partner has appealed 3 tickets on separate occasions and gotten away pretty scot free (twice, a typo on the ticket and once the cop showed up to the appeal and told him to donate some money to charity in lieu of forcing him to pay the ticket). Most of the time it’s more effort for them to fight you on it, so you might as well try ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

To be fair, as long as they haven’t been trying to get a parking fee waived like, every day or every week or something, I’d be like, yeah, seems legit, and waive the fees too.

I mean, as dumb as the request was, it basically reads as ‘i made a mistake’.

As long as they’re not making mistakes constantly, why not forgive it? Silly wording or not.

Getting a fine by “the parking people at work”… IDK, if I ever got a parking fine from my job I’d probably quit. Tell your employees to park properly, maybe even give a warning. But a fine? GTFO

I thought they just meant because it’s paid parking not that they didn’t know how to park. Many jobs I’ve had have paid parking, which is bonkers to think you’re paying to be at work but such is capitalism.

Big employer in the uk back in the day would fine your boss if you parked outside the lines. People were pretty attentive to how they parked…

Goose is the female and sex neutral term for members of those bird species.

Just like “cow” is both the female (parous) and sex neutral term for domesticated bovine. (nuliparous/non breeding female cows are heifers, but they are also still cows in the sex neutral usage)

That looks like T2’s Flexport site to me, wow! I’ve configured the backend for (an instance of) that beast, it is quite the mess!
