Consider using the native camera apps to click photos, and put a DIY camera cover (https://lemmy.ml/pictrs/image/ZWF9KqLntp.jpg) to avoid the in-app camera in Facebook apps.

I wish there were phones sold without cameras, especially the “self” one. Always freaks me out having that in my face all the time…
The app permissions system is good enough to take care of the camera. If not, the tinfoil and tape is, as I tell. For mic, you can use PilferShush Jammer passive mode.
