One thing I never understood in the logic of this movie was:
Why bother with blowing up stars to redirect the Nexus if he simply could have bought a ship to fly into its course…
That was established in the 1st act that ships weren’t a stable vehicle for transference to the Nexus.
Not so good movie, not so good changes to the Excelsior class, but boy do I love that whole scene. CG composited onto models will always look the best.
