Those guys do a dramatically cleaner wiring job on a one-use suicide drone than I do on my own computer hardware.
one use or not, drones experience vibration which can cause a cable to come loose and loss of the aircraft. cable management helps ensure that all the cables keep all the cables seated, among other things
You try yeeting a running pc over 1,000 km and you’ll quickly learn the importance of secure cable management
What is the bright orange cube+ box?
Autopilot solution. https://docs.px4.io/main/en/flight_controller/cubepilot_cube_orangeplus.html
Thanks, I knew it had to be something connected to the brains but cubes such a generic name I couldn’t find it in my quick search.
I found it due to pure luck by adding the word orange to my search. Definitely poor naming lol
My car is jealous of all that carbon fiber!
Reminds me of the FT Flerken fuselage but in CF
Are they using turbine engine for RC planes? Look very amateurish.
Russians die all the same. It wasn’t supposed to impress you but to deliver a warhead.
So far Ukrainian drones have impressed me a lot.
The Ukrainian RC community must be having a blast…
Although Im sure they’d rather be making models without warheads.
I don’t know what it’s “for” but the point of Ukrainian drone technology is to be cheap and plentiful, so it makes a lot of since. An amateur would try to design their own bespoke system that fills their goals perfectly, but in reality they can’t manufacture in any sufficient quantities.
All those FPV drones that they are using are not pretty. It’s the absolute bare-bones drone that they can get. Their effectiveness has been shown over and over again in videos. It’s not about aesthetics, it’s about effectiveness.
Have you seen the rest of the stuff they’re using? Hobby grade stuff has demonstrated its efficacy.
