The point was that as bad as cyberpunk’s future is, I’m fairly certain ours will be worse in 52 years. At least in their timeline there’s a resistance.

I’ve played fallout for more than 2 decades. How the fuck are we diving face first into every sci-fi dystopia at the same time? Like, there’s hints of star wars, dune, fallout, 1984, the outer worlds, hunger games, Idiocracy etc. I’m hoping cyberpunk 2077 shows up and gives a sliver of a chance.

Especially if you don’t plan to bring them back.

As I start my 37th playthrough of fallout 4, only to stop halfway through to start my 6th playthrough of cyberpunk.

Every time I see big box stores or factories go abandoned, my first reaction is to day dream about a paintball arena.

They cannot be ignored. The rolling average is far too long to be taken seriously, and only benefits the heaviest polluters. It also undermines the drastic changes needed and how quickly we need to implement them. I understand the need for a rolling average for the sake of science, but 5 years should suffice. It would show a much better and more useful statistic than 3 fucking decades. At 5 years it would be far more precise, and would even show slowdowns in heating (mostly just la niña). You’re doing the work of polluters by making that argument. If nothing else there should be several metrics, rolling 5, 10, 15, and 30. To claim “we haven’t hit 1.5c yet” is only technically true.

Oh shit, yeah that wouldn’t be good at all then. Like a galactic deli slicer. Time to take some X, listen to edm and get the glow sticks out.

But don’t the beams usually get shot out through the north and South poles of the black hole? Far from where we are, on the outer part of one of the arms?

If something like that happened with our black hole, how long would it take to be visible to us, and how cool would it be?

Apparently lol. After his previous stances, I thought no way is it real. It’s like MTG fighting for the ACA. I was like, no fuckin way is this real. But 2025 yo. Everything is ridiculous, nothing is probable, everything is dangerous and wildly likely. Who fuckin knows at this point? I honestly wouldn’t be surprised by flying scorpions at this point. Like you keep assuming it can’t get worse but it always does. So fucking flying scorpions doesn’t sound that far fetched anymore.
