I don’t think I’ve ever even heard of the guy before, so I’ve got no partisan motivation here. “Pedophile,” like “Nazi,” is just such an extreme accusation to make against someone that I immediately assume people are being dishonest when applying these labels, and that turned out to be the case here as well. He’s already been suspected of sex trafficking minors, or at least being involved with it. I don’t see the need to lie about additional charges.
