  • I hope the threat of proletariat violence prevails as it usually does in history. Revolution is always a bloody mess.

I didn’t miss the point. I choose non-violent change over a bloody mess. Where we seem to differ is that, as a last resort, I choose a bloody mess over the status quo.

The system has had centuries to right its wrongs. Most of us have no hope of a life of dignity. We’re already dead. We’ll set the timetable for our freedom. Or, we won’t. Things will go on as they are. And, the next generation will shoot their shot.

I choose to believe now is our time.

And yes, beaten by a cop. Happens all the time. Some of them even make the news.

  • I’m not a lawyer.

The article kinda sucks on educational value.

    Summary:

To sort out a legal mess two circuit courts made with contradictory rulings about the nature of student loan repayments, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit issued an order to halt the SAVE program’s implementation entirely, temporarily, until they issue a final ruling.

The order is likely legally binding in all subordinate Federal Circuit Courts with jurisdiction over: Arkansas, Iowa, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota.

    Editorial:

It’s fucked, like a judicial system filibuster.

  • We’ve neglected public education and mental health for roughly forty years.

The state has caused an issue - stupid unstable people with guns

    Then:

The state… will now use (stupid and unstable people with guns) as an excuse

    Their means are:

laws are only enforced when convenient for the ruling class

    Their goal is:

The establishment wants a complete monopoly on violence.

If the state threatens violence to get their way, then they don’t want to worry about violent self defense from the citizens with no other practical alternative.

For example, if a cop is beating an innocent person in the street then the state donesn’t want a radical revolutionary executing the cop and then making the body disappear, trusting strangers to see nothing, to remember nothing.

  • You’re getting downvoted because thinking that Green getting 5% of the vote will cause Democrats to pull left is a laughable fantasy.

If their platform, which is what Sanders watered down twice, is on every American’s ballot in 2028, then the Democrats will be forced left because they can’t weed out the choice in their crooked primary like they’ve done twice already.

The rest of your reply falsely equates my premise that Democrats will be forced left to a third party victory. It’s strawman, bad faith.

  • If I lived in a purple state I’d vote Democrat for President to attempt short term harm reduction. I don’t even believe in it. But, I’d do it for the most underprivileged who can’t risk the alternative. If I lived in a blue state it’d depend on the nuance of the situation.

But, I live in a deep red state. My vote for President has absolutely no effect on the outcome of this election. I learned and reasoned a way to possibly empower the change most Democratic voters want to see in the next election. I don’t care about Green any more than Democrats, except that Green has a nice simple platform that they’ve been loyal to for decades and I agree with.

But, everyone thinks everyone else is too stupid to understand a couple paragraphs and choose wisely for themselves. That’s why everything sucks. We don’t trust each other at all.
