He’s solely taking the blame for making all of the unpopular decisions that they decided as a group that they need to make to have a successful IPO. After the IPO they “fire” him with a wink, nudge, and a massive severance package. Soulless investors are happy (temporarily). Spez is happy. And slowly over years, Reddit’s growth declines as the product continues to get worse, so they keep squeezing more and more money out of the people too stubborn to leave.
