Meta just announced that they are trying to integrate Threads with ActivityPub (Mastodon, Lemmy, etc.). We need to defederate them if we want to avoid them pushing their crap into fediverse.

    And it is our choice to say we want to defederate. That is literally all this is.

    I would ask why you can’t understand this, but you’ve already said you don’t care to, so that’s clearly the reason.
