Warsaw and Kyiv announced on Tuesday (4 October) they had agreed to speed up the transit of Ukrainian cereal exports through Poland to third countries, a first step in resolving their "grain war".
To me, this just makes it more blatantly obvious that the whole situation was largely manufactured for political drama leading into Poland’s elections this week.
Next week, but yeah. Our usury rates dropped, the fuel is cheaper at state owned gas stations, might as well lose my morals and vote for the ruling party, they’ve been so great to me for the past month.
It’s really quite obvious when you look at it objectively like that, isn’t it? Our politicians in the states do much the same thing, come election time. More frustratingly, the also frequently hold off on doing really important shit until right before elections so they can use that as part of their campaigns. I’m constantly dismayed at how effective it is as a strategy.
