This news article is both disturbing and interesting. The people that alerted the news agency about the event are soldiers that were there. The only other witnesses are dead.

I would hazzard a guess that their commander ordered it and is part of the religous-Zionism movement. It’s a newish subset of zionism that is very similar to Nazism. Only difference is who they want to kill (the list also includes non-religous Jews).
This stuff is hardly new. There is testimonies of former Israeli soldiers from 30 and 40 years ago, where they talked about randomly murdering Civilians or beating children into disability for fun and to normalize the dehumanization and annihilation of Palestinians.
It was actively encouraged by leading officers to commit such atrocities, so that the lower ranks are eased into it and can say they were merely following the example of leading officers w.o. there being a paper trail of formal commands.

The group that used him as a human shield didn’t kill him directly. They sent him and his wife south, because the area they were found in was considered evacuated.
When an area is considered evacuated every non-IDF person is shot on sight. They knew it, and “forgot” to update over the radio about the elderly couple that will pass through. So the next group of soldiers shot them on sight.

There can be no conversation when mods control what I can write to the degree that is happening here. This is not even what I believe, but it is the closest to what I believe I can write.
I would never believe that any country should be deleted.
What I believe was deleted by the mods because it talked about blaming the responsible ones, for me what I wrote here is much more extreme but I don’t make the rules I just follow them.
Edit: the mod deleted it even if they they said those word were okay, I used the exact same words they did, the guys just can’t take what they diss out, what a joke they are, they should be embarrassed by themselves.

It was less “the ones responsible” and more “appropriate response”.
The appropriate response to 1,200 deaths is not to kill between 50,000 and 70,000 innocent civilians and state on multiple occasions “there are no innocent Palestinians”.

Been considering a new name for the 1 state solution that merges both Gaza and Israel into a working 1 state solution. Fantastica was my initial thought, kinda gives a middle finger while being a nice reference to the fact anyone murdering children for any reason are living in a fantasy world with real world repercussions like Fantastica in The Never Ending Story, book not movie, movies got nostalgia on it’s side but the book is a lot better, even though it was originally a young adult novel, I read it about 9yo, and liked it so much it’s still one of my favorite books 30ish yrs later… But if not Fantastica, maybe New Manhattan, or New Juneau, new Alaska, gotta be something that shatters their belief the land is holy. Fertile, sure, holy… Well it is holey where they keep detonating. But if all it takes is “talking to god”, fine, I talked to god, they busy, that land is as holy and sacred as the current inhabitants see the life of people they view as less than them. So Israel is gonna need to be leveled, for something useful like a giant pyre of holy texts, Gaza too, what’s good for the goose is good for the gander.
