I swapped my 64GB out for a 1TB immediately after opening mine. Everything works…except the left shoulder button. It often doesn’t click when pressed and even when it does register in game as a button press, its very smushy feeling. A quick search online suggests its a very common problem.

I just bought it during the recent Summer sale so it’s still very new. Given that the issue isn’t related to the SSD swap, would they still honor warranty and take care of the problem? I would swap the 64GB back in before sending it in, of course. Or am I just better off buying the part and following iFixit’s tutorial?

Did they do a data transfer too, or did you have to restore it yourself? I just got mine and love it but want to be ready if something happens. I have like 1,000+ ROMs on it 😅

If you swap out the 1tb drive and when the rma is done swap it back in you’ll not have to re-download anything.

I didn’t bother checking since I just put back the larger drive once I got the new one. I doubt they did, they said to remove any accessories / SD card otherwise I might not get them back, so I doubt they’d do a data transfer.

You just want to make sure to take out the ssd you bought and put back in the original one. Or if you didn’t replace it, just back stuff up.
