Why doesn't the US have mandated paid maternity leave?

The US is the only rich nation offering no national paid parental-leave programme. Why is that – and could it change?

Yeah it’s this.

So Cuba and North Korea are “Second World” but they meet the contemporary / colloquial definition of “Third World”.

It’s just a dumb imprecise term.

Developing Nation might be better but still not great.
