I’m surprised there hasn’t been more quantum leap archer memes
In my own head canon the final scene of Enterprise is Archer giving his speech, then there’s a blinding light halo around him, and then he’s standing at the helm of the titanic just as somebody yells “Captain, we’ve hit an iceberg!” and he goes “oh boy”
I’ve dabbled with at least a post and some comment memes, but to be honest, I only ever saw a handful of episodes and mostly know the show by reference. Should really buckle down and find wherever it’s streaming or otherwise. I mostly associate the Titanic and sci-fi with Doctor Who.
I was just thinking of the Captain aspect. But I should check… maybe he’s been an astronaut and that would fit better. It’s been so long since I finished the show.
Wait are you talking about Scott Bakula or the reboot? I’ve never even considered watching a Quantum Leap episode without Scott Bakula and Dean Stockwell. Being limited to traveling through the protagonist’s own timeline defined the show and was fundamental to Dr. Beckett’s character development.
Thanks for the link. I guess I know what I’m watching tonight. I see they bend the rules to the point of breaking by having him travel back through his own descendents.
I was wrong. Archer could be a descendant of Dr. Beckett. And that whole thing could be plausible.
Right you are Ken. At this point, it’s mostly just good meme fodder.

Allons-y
Neat idea, but Dr. Beckett could only travel to times that fall within his own living past.
Except the time he went to the Wild West… so there were some quantum threads that could apply.
I don’t know if he ever went into the future though.

Even explains him looking like… well… him
