I am ok with EU’s borders being protected by force, yes, this is not a fascist oppinion.
I am 100% for the EU accepting migrants that are accepted after being vetted.
What you are okay with is, rejecting them the opportunity to ask for asylum. Taking away from them the chance to be vetted. By chasing them away and pushing them back with brute force. That’s what happening there. And that is fascist.
I believe in human rights and in self-determination of every individual.
I believe that it’s not my business to decide where anybody should go or whether they have to stay where they are.
Especially not after my people used brute force for hundreds of years to take that right for themselves, without meeting any of the rules that we put on immigrants now. Again with brute force.
I know that many of those people trying to come would rather stay at home. If we also don’t want them to come we have to make sure that they can live in dignity wherever they come from.
So that those few who come because they love our culture and appreciate our philosophy can come without creating any inconvenience.
I believe, that the only way to make us put some effort into creating livable conditions in their home countries, is to give them the right to come here.
If they expect having better chances of getting a job or an education for their children by coming here, then they will come. Like Millions of Europeans went to America, Australia etc in former centuries.
Equal rights for all. You can’t change the rules to your advantage every now and then. Well, we can, because we have the power, but that’s deeply unethical and will destroy our values and our lives and our democracies more than any refugee crisis could.
Up to now we are doing exactly that; changing the rules of migration to our advantage. It’s forbidden now to migrate out of poverty, to look for a better life in a more prosperous part of the world.
It’s our clean hypocrite fascism to keep them out of our territory. And we are willing to sacrifice every single human right for it as long as we don’t have to say it out loud. We pay a lot for it and we let those poor people pay an even higher price. In many cases they have to pay with their lives for their pursuit of happiness.
I don’t consent! Our politics are not in my name and I feel deeply ashamed by our behavior.
The worldview you have is pretty unrealistic, we have limited resources, it is unrealistic to think that we can house and feed the entire worlds population who wants to come here.
Oh and allowing for unrestricted migration will also lead to a massive brain drain, reducing the ammount to people with the skills that a poor country needs to develop and turn into a prosperous country.
I completely fail to see the logic of how allowing the unrestricted migration from a developing country would benefit the developing country at all.
Allow for travel and temporary visas for studying in the EU, even lower the cost significantly for people from poor countries but a requirenment is that they need to go back after finnishing their studies and actually practice in their field of study.
Brain drain is a huge issue for any country, especially poor, so let’s help them stop it.
