I am confused, tobacco is legal to grow for your own use.
kde, linux, busses, open source and the good old Grateful Dead.
I am confused, tobacco is legal to grow for your own use.
You tell me the difference when that film is continuously converted to a gas in the atmosphere. So you are saying as long as it’s thin enough it’s not important to worry about?
No they have not phased out bpa for all aluminum cans. As of September Germany for example is still waiting for regulations on bpa.
Also in Srptember a new company is about to replace yet another attempt at.making a clean lining for aluminum because the bpa became bps etc.
A thin plastic film… in other words a plastic bottle.
Actually a resin. Made of BPA, which is released into the atmosphere during the recycling process. Which contributes to the 1 million pounds of bpa released every year.
Basically small amounts of plastic BPA, burned into the air for each and every can.
So no cans currently do not solve the plastics problem.
Their point was that buying a can just means you are buying a plastic container anyways, that happens to be reinforced with aluminum.
It’s still a plastic bottle.
I agree with this a lot. I really do not like the term “content”. It is like going to a recipe for some “slop”, like using a term that is just a catch all for everything tossed on a plate.
Art is great. Movies, music are also fine terms. And so is simply saying they made a video. Watering it all down to the term “content” is just so boring and mind numbing.
Time wasters.
Do you really hate algorithms (since AI doesn’t really exist yet) or do you hate the hype and marketing?
Firefox Focus for visiting random sites. Adblock built in drops all cookies on exit.
I have yet to see a pet friendly hotel with vinyl floors. It’s always been wall to wall carpeting.
Personally I am all in favor of hard floors dogs or not. I stayed In hotel recently that mops the floors after every stay and that seems preferable to carpet and a vacuum.
But oddly enough, it was not pet friendly. The last two i stayed in with carpet were though.
Costco meats always seem like the worst. I like costco, but I would never buy meat from them.
I only am throwing in my 2 cents because of the subject. They have had far too many recalls for my liking.
I am tired of prices going up AND tips going up. It already was a percentage of a total, and now it’s a higher percentage of a higher total?
I remember 10 percent tip. Was sort of annoyed at 15. At 20 percent with five times the bill it’s gotten way out of hand.
And now my area is trying to normalize 25 percent, with 30 being “good service”.
I am about to say fuck it and go back to 15. It’s either that or never eating out again.
Those examples are so bad. You do not need AI to do any of those. That’s just cut and paste.
Hell, we have had fake reality video overlays that are better than that on our phones for over a decade.
Although if you click through a few of them, your comment is probably applicable!
People let their TV’s onto the internet? I thought we already had this discussion and nobody does this anymore.
Every time you click that link you will get a different web page… so…
Or better still firefox focus. Ad blocking built in and it drops all the cookies as soon as you close it.
I keep firefox on mobile for when I need to go to a trusted site, firefox focus for everything else.
So you ever actually read his platform? Look into what he has done? Tim has sound and practical reasons for … guess what… doing the right thing.
Feed school children for example. Turns out the grades go up and truancy goes down. Juvenile crime goes down. An educated workforce makes for better wages and a happier populace. He will tell you that… in plain English.
Instead of blaming everyone else and calling names he, you know, fills potholes and offers solutions. He isn’t perfect, but you calling names and acting like an ass with no actuall reasons is just pathetic.
My current environment - and one for many years, is just like you describe. No ads, instant launch (either from a launcher, or just type what I want and it pops up). No spyware, no account, no assistant. I even have a modern file manager that windows STILL hasn’t surpassed.
But I remember at the time when XP came out, Windows 2000 already was all those things, Beos was all those things, Macs were all those things.
Without the nasty (and limited) XP colors and theme, the 10 minute exploits, the huge waste of space in all the dialogs, and the beginning of the Pro vs Home licensing, where they started with the bullshit of home has: only 1 processor, no remote desktop, no 64 bit, they even removed windows backup!
You could exploit and gain admin in a Windows XP machine right to the end, it could not be locked down if a user sat at it. Which, I know, if you have access to the machine usually all bets are off, but for a multi user machine it was less than acceptable.
I find it weird that people look back fondly on XP. I remember at the time thinking it behaved like crap, had an interface that looked like shit, and was extremely easy to compromise.
I guess Rose colored glasses for some people…
I now see the angle you were taking in your comment.
I read it as no one can stop you from growing it,
And I believe you are saying corpos will mass commercialize it just.like tobacco.
Thanks!
