You’re not being annoying as a person ☺️🫂 I just mean that there’s a lot of posting with like a link to the release page of a project in GitHub and the title just says “Software X version Y released” and no more info.
Sometimes it can be really difficult to understand what the software is or why we should be interested in it, or even this release in particular.
But I believe you at least posted what you found interesting about this release, in the description. 👍 That’s great! I didn’t mean you were the one release dumping, I just meant it’s annoying when it does happen. 😁
Take care!

This one actually made me laugh lol
I imagine it’s still not an “install and forget” kind of situation. At least one fulltime employee will be needed for that thing. 😆

Nice, well done to the developers!

Surely that’s the same product being referenced by this project? The API is being used by this project, to interact with Subsonic, the media server. No?

Obviously ancient x11 specific stuff
Well yeah… I was kind of asking whether Thunar is one of those things that haven’t transitioned to a Wayland-enabled framework. Maybe it’s still using GTK3 or something.
Btw, is GTK5 in the works?? 😀

I’m assuming this: https://www.subsonic.org/pages/index.jsp

Can Thunar run under Wayland or nah? (Just curious, I don’t want to actually use it.)

Agree that Nautilus is the most beautiful/clean, but almost the least functional. Maybe those two are in fact inversely proportional, eh.

Release dumping is a real issue on Lemmy. It’s quite annoying. But at least this info was readily available in the README.

Tempus is an open-source and lightweight music client for Subsonic, designed and built natively for Android.

Reaching feature stability? It’s been around for decades.

What’s better with Thunar?

I should play this. I bought it, after all.
How could they crop out the price!
I guess he fit the data of those two sources pretty well then.
There is a nice paradox here. If he conceded, he would’ve proven himself correct but in the same breath admitted he was not correct, and if he refused to believe those two sources he would’ve claimed himself correct but proven the sources correct. 🔄

I read every word. 😉
But yeah, it just goes to show that the mass production vs caring and dedicated production really are playing in different leagues altogether. Mass produced stuff is just shit no matter how expensive, and this controller-centric company blows the big dogs out of the water for a third, quarter, eighth of the price!
Anyway, I hope you get more free time for yourself soon, so you can enjoy it more. 😌
Hop on in, water’s still warm.
