From the gloss, I think it’s actually a cookie tin or something in the shape of the Nintendo “racetrack” logo.

…You’re not OP.
very obviously yes. Twice as many bullet points as a human would put in a summary, passive voice, and “the author xxx” are all telltale signs
You don’t need to quote things when you are the one thinking them.
If you’re prepared to fact check what it gives you, it can still be a pretty useful tool for breaking down unfamiliar things or for brainstorming. And I’m saying that as someone with a very realistic/concerned view about its limitations.
Used it earlier this week as a jumping off point for troubleshooting a problem I was having with the USMT in Windows 11.
Ooh, I haven’t seen this turn of phrase in a while. I think you may want “yoke” over “yolk” here though.
Thank you for this thread. Nothing particular I can share right now, but I needed this.
Their account is 1 hour old. It’s very obvious they created it just to troll. I’m sorry
You should get your oxygen saturation checked, pretty sure you’re slowly suffocating your brain cells passively by existing
Money is already involved. It doesn’t need to be personal profit, my understanding is the lost sales are already enough for a copyright infringement claim. Although there are also three counts related to DMCA circumvention/trafficking – seems to me like Nintendo is confident they can prove in discovery that the defendant was close with / a part of the groups involved. (I am not a lawyer)
You should probably click through to the TorrentFreak article and skim the actual complaints.
For other readers, I’ll quote just a few lines of the complaint here:
[…] Defendant has engaged in “crowdsourcing” schemes, such as a scheme where he solicits members of the public to “donate” to his online community called “Missing Dumps” pre-paid Nintendo eShop Gift Cards (which he uses to purchase games to then copy and distribute) or copies of pirated Nintendo game files. He then rewards these contributors with special, enhanced access to the content available in his Pirate Shops.
Via the “SwitchPirates” Reddit board, Defendant has touted and advertised his Pirate Shops and offered technical advice and encouragement about how to obtain and play pirated Nintendo Switch games and use the Circumvention Software.
On March 31, 2024, Defendant acknowledged to NOA that his conduct violated NOA’s intellectual property rights, but refused to agree in writing to cease his unlawful activities. Moreover, upon receiving the cease-and-desist letter, Defendant apparently attempted to cover his tracks by systematically destroying the documentary evidence of his misconduct, including but not limited to deleting his Discord social media account as well as his GitHub account
(If the allegation that evidence was destroyed is true, that’s really not a good look lol)
we absolutely should not do this until we understand it
I’m not surprised, just disappointed.

“What do you tell someone to type when you want them to send you an email?” should work if the person has irl or phone social connections, which is still the case for a lot of older folks
have you tried plain soda water? the carbonation might make it interesting enough to be drinkable even though it’s flavorless. if you get a drinkmate or something like that it’s fairly cheap to make at home
So you’re having trouble relaxing before bed?
I would recommend either finding a book you like to read before bed, or perhaps if you are so inclined, doodle or sketch. Something that requires focus, but isn’t intense, so you will still be able to tell when your body is ready to rest.
I know totk was one, I guess I just assumed that a few more had come out at that price point
It’s a day-old account; probably a troll’s throwaway
