Hell, the current Plasma and its compositor are far more stable in Wayland than Gnome. It amazes me that Wayland can actually be usable when using a desktop that is stable.
But Krita is more of a digital painting software and less an image editor like Gimp is. Sure, both can to a certain extent do the other, but Krita’s focus and Gimp’s focus are very different and using one for the other isn’t the most effective.
Gimp is awesome and people just need to use it with the understanding that it isn’t Photoshop and it does things different ways.

It’s funny how vegetarians/vegans are so in denial about their love of meat that they will spend endless amounts of money and effort trying to replicate it (and always miss the mark by a huge margin).
I don’t have any problem with meatless meals, I eat them often. But I also eat meat, because humans are omnivores and there is no better delivery system for the nutrients we need than a little meat here and there. Yes, most people eat way too much meat, but the solution isn’t to wipe it out entirely. And people talking about “ethical” and “poor animals”? Watch some nature documentaries. “We’re supposed to be more evolved/better/etc!” We’re animals, Karen, not some “god”-created, ordained, outside-of-evolution, special beings. Grow up, eat a burger, feel better without working yourself to death making some poor substitute for it, and join humanity. Which we are because we ate meat. You want to de-evolve into a lesser species of humanity by destroying actual meat and using a poor, inadequate substitute.

Update to what? Nintendo can release any game it wants and release it on one of the most popular consoles ever, and they want to get rid of this? They want to make a new console? Updating technology made sense back in the old days when things were moving quickly, but now? What are you going to do, make everything look slightly better?
Get over it. Technology isn’t going to advance that much more. Put a holding pattern on your hardware and ride it out for years to come. Just because Sony and Microsoft want to throw out yet another version of their barely updated hardware console and PC users decide that yet another overpriced, overpowered, overheating card is absolutely necessary doesn’t mean it makes any sense. Nintendo has the opportunity to grow a brand here and gain trust by allowing their hardware to become a standard. Lower its price. Retool its design. The portable Switch thing was a good idea. Just don’t change your actual system and allow games to be released for a single system for a good long while for once in console history.
All they’re doing now is getting ready to bring out another fucking WiiU that no one cares about after the phenomenal success of the Wii.
This is why PC is always superior. Not because of graphics. Because there is a consistency, and flexibility. People always believe that PC gaming is better because “oh, PC gamers buy $3000 PCs and play games on ultramegasuperhigh resolution”. Bullshit. It’s because we can play all the PC games, ever, and have the flexibility to play exactly what we want and not be forced into playing only what a company allows us to play.
Nintendo should stick with the Switch, or push moving to PC gaming. Enough of this constant pointless console treadmill updating.
You can 100% use winget install [softwarename] if it doesn’t collide with another piece of software of the same name.
And throwing everything in a user directory causes tons of issues that I’ve seen when something is expected to be installed the way Windows needs it to be.
