3·17 days agoIt’s to show that they have the “power” to make people do whatever they want. Sure, the average Janes and Joes know that apology was half-assed, but they now know that the government will come after you if you do anything out of line.
So, one of the guys at work just exported graphics for one of our marketing sites as SVG, and it became a 3.5 MB monstrosity that would be orders of magnitude smaller if he had just exported it as a JPEG or even a PNG.
Just run Distrobox if you want to run something outside of flatpaks.

41·30 days agoLess motion sickness for me and better power consumption for me. I have a 380hz monitor and it’s been very helpful in capping my game FPS on 90 and 4x fake frames it to 360 fps. My shit reflex can’t differentiate the input delay but my eyes can definitely see the smoothness difference between 90 and 360 FPS.

I just bought Shape of Dreams and Hades 2 just got released. I’m drowning right now.
Looks like they’re optimizing the UI for handheld/console while forgetting that the majority of their userbase is still on desktop.
I really want to finish DOOM Eternal but it’s exhausting game to play just one level. Plus what Bethesda did to Mick Gordon is just plain dirty and left a bad taste in my mouth.

4·2 months agoMy friend who works in marketing usually try to find out the hiring manager and also emailed them directly while also providing something similar to the commenter above (3-month marketing and content plan instead of a sample project) and it’s basically 100% success rate for getting a response for him.
