Sideberry - a vertical option to organize and search tabs with a overwhelming plethora of options

Tab Session Manager - To make sure I don’t lose my tabs if my browser crashes

Tab Stash - to hide away bundles of tabs so I can sort through them later

Window Titler - To name my different windows I have open in order to keep things organized on my windows toolbar. I use the old school windows toolbar layout which has text beside the icon. I like it this way instead of going through little popup windows to sort through my shit.

This is about all I can remember for my first online experience. Just remember opening AOL and not exactly knowing what else to do except click around random links, looking at whatever websites I came across, all with that classic 90s basic HTML look.

Every time I have tried a different browser than Firefox I could never get it set up quite right. I never strayed from Firefox only because of the openness of the add-ons and customization, even when Firefox was miles behind when it came to browsing speed in the early 2010s as Chrome was popping off.

Anyone who tells me Chrome is better hasn’t seen my multitude of tab add-ons which are the only thing that hold my online life together.

Yep. I’m 100% sold on it. Thank you very much kind human. It’s crazy how used to Google I had become. Not thinking about features which would be helpful like simply raising/lowering a sites visibility. It even has done well for me when it comes to local searches! Truly a game changer.

You may have changed my life with kagi. It is amazing so far at giving the results I want, and categorizing stuff like discussions so you don’t have to add “Reddit” at the end of every search to get decent results.

The golden days of IRC were the best. Every day I use the current internet, I miss the way of the old internet. Valve has stated that they are okay with people making mods using their property, as long as they either openly state that they are not Valve, and do not use Valves IP in their names unless they ask for permission by Valve, which they will give in many cases. They are more strict when it comes to commercial games using their IP, of course. I think in the case of Portal 64 though, it definitely has to do with Nintendo’s ridiculously over the top protection of their copyrights.

As someone with long covid, it is fucking hell. The extreme fatigue, muscle soreness, lengthened healing times of wounds or new sicknesses or physical exertion have made life hardly bearable. I just straight up don’t have the energy or mental capacity to do anything I used to love and enjoy.

It’s endlessly depressing, even though I know I am keeping myself out of clinical depression after learning how to deal with depressive issues more proactively now.

I wish I just wore an n95 whenever I was around people now, but I know I never would have done so unless I knew how truly awful long covid is.

I second this. I thoroughly enjoyed the hell out of Xen in Black Mesa. I really feel like they really did justice to what the original devs could have accomplished if they had more time.

Calgary is one of the best places in North America … for landlords. Tenants have basically zero protections here. Every time my landlord does something shitty and shady I look up the law and landlords always have the upper hand.

All I got was a letter stating that as per my lease agreement, my lease is over and I would have to move out by the end of the month (which was a little over 2 weeks away) or reply to the letter to accept the $1800 (previously $1200) rental price.

Example: Have bedbugs? It’s your landlords responsibility to get rid of them. If your landlord doesn’t? You can move out. That’s what the law states, even though it states it’s your landlords responsibility to get rid of them.

It’s simple! For me I either have to pay that much, be homeless, move to a tiny shitty city with no work in my field, or spend a year trying to find a decent place that isn’t totally unaffordable while thousands of competing potential tenants do the same to renters with vacancies. So fun!

My landlord upped my monthly rent $600 bucks this year because he’s a cunt and knows I have no fucking choice except to pay him.
