You have zero plaque when you go to the dentist?

I do clean my teeth two times a day, and floss regularly. That doesn’t totally stop the plaque from building up though. Everybody’s biology is a bit different
I get a cleaning every 4 months but my insurance only covers every 6 months, so I pay for one out of pocket. I go to a very good dentist, and they only charge $170 for a cleaning

News@lemmy.world•Kennedy and influencers bash seed oils, baffling nutrition scientists
281·9 months agoYou’re right, “food influencers” and the “Manosphere” at large have been spouting nonsense about plant oils for a long time. That realm is rife with pseudoscience from people who think you don’t eat enough meat and that eating vegetables makes you weak. They try to sell strength to people by speaking confidently about being strong while also making shit up and lying about it.

Definitely this, you can drink H2O no problem, but H2O2 and you’re going to have a bad time. And yes, probably no need to have brominated vegetable oil in our food at all.
Some popular drinks that contain BVO include Gatorade, Mountain Dew, Fanta Orange, Fresca, Squirt, Sunkist Pineapple, and some flavors of Powerade.
Yeah all of these are killing you with sugar, too

12·2 years agoIt’s so good. I was a TNG & DS9 fan, but I just didn’t like Enterprise or Discovery, and I watched the first few episodes of Picard, but it was so dark and not like the others. SNW brings back the original Star Trek ethos, relentlessly optimistic and ethical with a realist streak, fantastic writing, great character development, and great special effects. They even have the traditional episode “types,” like a Klingon politics episode, a courtroom episode, and a fantasy episode. My point is I love it, and I hope the writers’/actors’ guilds get what they want soon so they can start filming season 3.
P.S. Fuck JJ Abrams

Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•In which game did you spend the most hours?English
19·2 years ago20 years ago before I had a wife, a child, pets, or a mortgage and when I had a simple job, I would destroy weeks at a time with some Final Fantasy 8. Logged obscene hours, unlocked every secret and beat every minigame, more than once. There’s just no time in my life now for a game requiring that kind of time commitment, but there’s always the memories

That sounds great for you. I switched to 3/year last year after trying everything else to reduce the amount of plaque developing between visits without success. I don’t get why you feel the need to shit on someone for that
