No kidding. This didn’t ruin me but it was painful. And on top of that, it’s smaller disks for significantly more than I did last year.
I bought them for years ahead. My primary pool is gonna start having drives fail from age and use, and it’ll need replacements. So I’m gonna be sticking these in as they fail over time so I use all the service life I can get from the existing (8TB) drives.
The AI search is just crazy, especially when you adjust the model quality.
I’ll buy the domain/s if you decide to start a trial.

Home Assistant grabbing data from an Air Gradient sensor.
Looking at this week, it seems like today is indeed the worst day so far.
This is what I came up with.
There’s a HEPA in the magic blue box. Closed off all other windows that could act as air intake. Turned on the bathroom and kitchen fans. They take air from the inside and exhaust it outside. We’re doing ~600 CFM at the intake pipe. The HEPA is tiny in comparison to what a Corsi-Rosenthal box uses but it’s compensated by having a high static pressure fan that can pull much more air through it. If it didn’t work I was gonna go to CT to get some filters and a fan. :D

Something occurred to me while watching some news yesterday. It won’t take ICE raids removing people from farms for the effect to materialize. The fear from raids will cause people to stop showing up for work at the farms before that. That’s why I think we’ll see the effects on food prices quicker.
