I have already argued at length that Russia, being the most sanctioned and economically undermined and terrorized country on earth, via embargoes and outright industrial sabotage like the Nordstream attacks, may be underachieving—for now—while hiding a far more powerful economy than current records imply. If you take away those artificial handicaps unfairly gimping Russia’s economy, then it is almost certain that Russia’s true unmeasured economic might is that of 3rd place behind China and the U.S. It’s remarkable that even under unparalleled attack, Russia is able to command one of the fastest growing and most robust economies in the world.
Oh boo hoo. Maybe Russia should consider ending their war of aggression so the world can see how powerful their economy actually is.
The journalists also spoke to a resident of the “DPR” [“Donetsk People’s Republic” – self-proclaimed and non-recognised quasi-state formation in Ukraine’s Donetsk Oblast – ed.] who has been fighting on the side of Russia for more than two years. Recently, he learned from his neighbours that his apartment had been recognised as “mismanaged property” and could be nationalised.
Русский мир
They likely can’t hear them coming. Shooting without earpro will do a number on your ears.
They appear to be disarmed and possibly wounded with the shooter moving calmly from one person to the next and executing them based on the video in the article. It’s unlikely they’re combatants at this point which would make them prisoners.
I was wondering when they would start using civil aviation aircraft to conduct strikes. I’m not sure of the legality of weaponizing civilian assets for military purposes, but it’s an effective disguise if they can log a flight plan near a sensitive target. Even if they don’t hit the target or get shot down, then Russia will have to run the risk of shooting down its own civilian aircraft or stop general aviation flights near high value targets.
United24 was set up for direct donations to the government. You can choose specifically where you want your donations to go to as well.
Maria Andreeva, a key face of the movement, has emphasized that she supports the guiding logic of the full-scale invasion, but is protesting the Russian government’s treatment of its soldiers and the inability of mobilized men to be rotated out of the front line.
She also has repeated Russian propaganda about the Bucha massacre, in which hundreds of Ukrainian civilians were killed by Russian soldiers, saying that it had been “staged” by the West.
Disappointing yet unsurprising.
Sorry about that! I posted the first one I scrolled to on their FB page as an example. The image is also posted in the official Telegram group as well. Hope that helps.
If you’re looking for the graphic the general staff ZSU Facebook page still posts it. I’d post it myself but the numbers are usually posted while I’m asleep and someone else will probably beat me to it.
It’s a Google translate of the post on Telegram, which always looks funky after it’s been processed.
Depending on the length of the rail segments, which appear to be made up of between 12.5m and 120m standard lengths, somewhere between 2 and 12 segments will have to be repaired on this line.
Nah, put a little speed tape on that bad boy and it’s good to go!
What are the odds it lands on a S400 missile complex before the operators even detect it flying towards them?
Absolutely excellent article. I was just thinking about this topic last night with all the Hexbear drama going on after taking a peek at their front page seeing all the Russian colonialism apologists and excusers posting there.
Yes, there were reports recently of manned serveilance aircraft being subjected to wake turbulence. I think there were other incidents in addition to this report.
It is reported that the passage was secured by a US P8 anti-ship aircraft.
That seems pretty significant. It seems unlikely the ships would have been targeted by Russia if they were flying the flags of their country of origin, but to have an armed escort is definitely a huge deterrence. I have to wonder what sort of response it’ll garner considering all the other ‘unprofessional acts’ Russian aircraft have been employing against unarmed US aircraft lately.
For even more perspective, the United States lost 58,220 killed and 153,303 wounded in Vietnam between 1964 and 1975. 211,523 losses over 11 years.
