It’s a video/streaming platform that pays creators fairly and doesn’t rely on ads or harvesting user info.
Both pizza and open faced sandwiches are actually just toast.
As far as I know, google doesn’t have an official policy on how long they provide security updates, but it has pretty consistently been 3 years after release.
The only reason old versions are still in use is that most vendors release a phone, give it the bare minimum number of updates, then abandon it when next years shiny new model comes out.
There are some known issues with timezone handling resulting in posts appearing to be from the future. I think it usually happens when you post from kbin into lemmy.

It will absolutely mess with federation. Accounts on the instance that moved should be relevantly unaffected, but anyone from external instances subscribed to local communities will need to subscribe to the new domain.
lemmy.world isn’t blocking anything. If you check all/new you’ll see a bunch.
This was used at the splash screen for dev builds in 2011 and was never shown on a release build. The dev splash screens have always been a bit memey.

He doesn’t seem the type that’s able to stop doing something. My bet is he’ll take a well deserved break and come back full force with a new project.
