Tiny glade was interesting. I only played the demo, & it was enjoyable for a half hour or so, but I kind of ran through everything & it didn’t seem like there was enough content to justify buying the full game or playing more.

I also felt like there wasn’t enough ability to customize different aspects, like I could place flowers but couldn’t choose how they’re arranged within that space.

Did you play the full release or just the demo?

I’ve been playing a bunch of SSX tricky. It’s super old, but I absolutly love it even 20 years later. I’ve been playing on the PC using a ps2 emulator.

I’ve also been playing simpsons hit and run which really holds up. It’s a simpsons version of grand theft auto & it’s just fun. It’s another emulated ps2 game.

Lastly I’ve been playing survival fountain of youth. It’s a fairly recent release. You play as a shipwrecked Spaniard looking for the fountain of youth. I enjoy the base building & exploration – the story line is fiiine but nothing special.

Its maiwenn that I was refering to. They met when she was 12 and formed a relationship & maiwenn openly talks about how their relationship was part of the inspiration for the movie “the professional” – which is a movie that celebrates the sexualization of the child lead & characterizes the child as the instigator of the romantic relationship. The original script was apperently even more transparent about it’s endorsement of pedophilia and had to be reigned in during production.

Meiwenn has very openly talked about their relationship in interviews & many of the films she has directed incorporate autobiographical aspects. She does not see any problem with her marriage to luc besson and thus freely admits to things. I’m remembering reading an interview where she talked about how they knew eachother for about a year before she really fell in love with him and they began dating, which puts her at 13 (12 plus a year of knowing each other). I think it also referenced that they met because he was a friend of her parents, though I’m having a hard time finding that interview right now.

My personal opinion is that they got married after she was already pregnant & had likely been intimate for years prior to the marriage at 16. I think the story that he waited until she was 15 comes from the international push back they received after luc became famous and people found out about the relationship.

I did a deep dive on this when I was in the hospital last year & happened to watch the fifth element lol. I noticed on the wiki that he was married at different times to two of the stars & then spent like 3 days reading everything i could find on him and his overly young exs.

I has this happen with the fifth element. I found out Luc Besson is a pedophile who has gotten multiple young girls pregnant. Including a 15 year old he started seeing when she was 13, who he left when she turned 21. The movie is so different knowing about him and his views & it really changes how i watch the movie. Its no longer a fun feel good movie for me. Especially because two of his young wives star in the film.

Chiming in to say that on my asus laptop, the start up button is f12! Press as soon as the first logo appears on the screen. It might take a few times to get the timing right, if you miss it just restart the computer.

It should take you to a menu that looks like a classic hacker screen (blue screen with pixilated text, no clickable UI). Then go to the boot options and select the USB.

The potential for self hosted AI is there! I’ve seen a few projects in the works, and if youre tech saavy you can spin up your own. It is pretty resource intensive, but could be run on a home server.

I’m pretty excited to have my own personal AI, vut i want one that is trained on data I select and who only phones home to my server lol.

Super interesting to read your more technical perspective. I also think facial recognition (and honestly most AI use cases) are best when used to supplement an existing system. Such as flagging a potential shoplifter to human security.

Sadly most people don’t really understand the tech they use for work. If the computer tells them something they just kind of blindly believe it. Especially in a work environment where they have been trained to do what the machine says.

My guess is that the people were trained on how to use the system at a very basic level. Troubleshooting and understanding the potential for error typically isn’t covered in 30min corporate instructional meetings. They just get a little notice saying a shoplifter is in the store and act on that without thinking.

If you already know where a pressurized liquid magma pool is, maybe. Though if it’s not pressurized enough you might just get the release of some weird fumes and vapors. Or the lava might rise a little then settle back to a standard hight rather than errupting.

If you dont have a pool of lava to aim for about the earth mantle, then probably not :( By the time you get deep enough into the earth to hit magma, the hole would collapse due to pressure and pretty much any modern drill would be soft due to the heat.

I agree it’s all about access and boundries.

My 2yo neice has a designated smartphone, but she only gets it for short periods. My sister picks the app and locks the phone so that the app cant be exited. For things like going out to dinner, it’s incredibly useful & I don’t think damaging.

All she watches is miss rachel, lol maybe some bluey or aquarium feeds.

I think her having a phone is mostly useful so that there is one to give her without worrying about your nice expensive device getting grubby kid hands all over it.

Honestly I’d be down for one of the debates to be replaced by a big wresting match. VP candidates can tag in. Everyone gets silly outfits. Their one liners all have to do with policy. It would probably get a much bigger turnout than traditional debates lmao

I reccomend etsy. You have to watch out for drop shippers, but by being concious you can normally find high quality hand made clothing.

Signs it’s a real person making what youre buying:

• Custom fit options (can send your measurements)
• Similar materials used in the different designs
• Photos use mannequins or the same model or have the same background
• The designs cannot be purchased elsewhere
• The blurb gives real information about a real person & their story

Also: once you’ve found a clothing maker you like, you can often buy directly from them, bypassing etsy taking a cut of the profits.
