There are dozens of us! Dozens!!
Picked up Marvel’s midnight suns when it was on sale in november and oh boy does it scratch my itch. 60 hours in and on the final mission. Definitely going to go back for a second playthrough/new game plus!
For a Google drive alternative I’ve heard of nextcloud but haven’t looked into it. For staying in touch with news articles, etc you could look into RSS readers and subscribe to RSS feeds from publications online. For a Google alternative, duckduckgo can handle your search needs. I opted to sail the high seas rather than subscribe to multiple streaming services, but I haven’t found a YouTube replacement
I know you mentioned you weren’t super tech savvy, but check out some of the stuff on the https://awesome-selfhosted.net/ list. Not everything there actually needs to be self hosted or set up in any complex way.
That being said, you need to be able to handle criticism (constructive or not) in order for that conversation to happen and benefit you
If you’re up for it, why not ask your past dates why they think you guys didn’t work out, or what you could work on as a person. People you’ve spent time with will probably give you the most objective take if there was anything other than “we just didn’t mesh”.
Baldurs gate 3, just beat the game and now I’m going for a tactician run. The wife and I have also been playing pit people co op. We hooked up her steam deck to the living room TV and have been looking for more couch co op games!
for retro handheld options try !c/sbcgaming@lemmy.ml
There’s a massive spreadsheet that’s linked on the reddit equivalent that tracks and breaks down handheld features, price points, and what consoles it can reasonably emulate too

I’m a big Larian fan and D&D enjoyer, so I made an exception for BG3 since I knew I’d be sinking hundreds of hours easily into that game :P
I just picked up Moonlighter for like 3 bucks so that’s my next adventure.
Cyberpunk 2077 comes to mind with the Phantom Liberty DLC being around the corner. Also waiting out on Starfield to see how it goes, Fallout 3 and New Vegas have a special place in my heart but Bethesda has had a lot of misses for me since then.
Hey you’ve clearly been thinking a lot about this and where you want to take your life. It will take effort either way, whether you choose to build your life there or elsewhere, so feel the freedom to try something else. If you’re undecided, maybe think about what you would regret the least. I’ve also thought making a quick pros and cons list for myself helps. Best of luck to you
I used to work at Amazon, though nowhere near fulfillment so I’m not an expert but can give you a general perspective from within the company. Carriers also charge the seller for shipping services, so what you pay for as the buyer may be different. Costs are also offset by volume of packages. With 2 days the logistics become less tight than with 1 day. Ground shipping becomes more of a possibility, and is much less expensive comparatively.
This next one may be Amazon specific, but they would preemptively distribute some products shipped from sellers in closer warehouses. If they have to hold the inventory anyways, holding it closer to a metropolitan area makes it easier to use cheaper ground shipping methods. With that in mind, I know inventory holding costs were more of a focus for cost optimization internally.
Recently got a steam deck for the wife, we’ve been having fun playing Valheim together. Honkai Star Rail and soon to be baldurs gate 3 are also on the docket
Damn his face looks like he’s wearing a skin mask
I know you said preferably no dice, but… have you checked out Perudo/Liar’s Dice? It’s a cup & dice game based around bluffing
Sherriff of Nottingham is also a great push your luck sort of game but the footprint is probably bigger than you’d like, you’re trying to make money by selling goods and maybe contraband past the sheriff, who could also be open to bribery…
Hey man give more respect to cinnamon buns
Dave the Diver is my cozy solo game. My friends and I picked up Granblue Fantasy Relink as our nightly stint. Think monster hunter but even more anime
