The concept of speaking freely is not exclusive to legislation. Musk specifically bought this platform because, according to himself, he saw it as an important place for human discourse and the freedom to speak your mind was being inhibited by the policies around moderation. Your comment reveals a lack of knowledge on the subject. In general, gender affirming care means putting a minor on puberty blockers. Hormones typically start no earlier than 16 and surgery at 18. At that point multiple medical professionals will have been involved with figuring out if this is the best course of action for the person. Transitioning is one of the least regretted medical procedures on the planet.

You people make it seem like parents can walk into a transgender clinic with their 5-year old and have their genitals removed.

These legislators are overruling guidelines established by medical professionals who looked at trials and evidence to determine the best healthcare outcome for these children. You’re practicing medicine without a license if you support this kind of legislation and the children you’re so desperate to protect will suffer as a result, that is the ones who don’t outright commit suicide because their existence is under constant treath by bigots that support this kind of legislation.
