Because as many in the tech thread said, it could be for nothing. There are no specific posts that show me even posting to that sub. So it’s not proof of anything other than some person in some instance (where there is no proof that I even posted) decide that they would ban me. And my post history also shows ZERO evidence that I ever posted there.

Actually no. I have never read of Dubvee, don’t know how to get to it, I don’t even know what it is. I am genuinely curious, which is why I posted here.

And no, it’s NOT that important, but a user is accusing me of being toxic and using that as proof, but with no posts or samples of anything that I have ever posted to that community or anything.

And as I said earlier, in addition to not even knowing what that community is, there are no posts or comments or notifications on my end either. I legit only found out when he posted that screenshot in a political news community.

My main instance is here on Lemmy.world, and I only recently even learned what instances were. Not that I am a moron, but I am still new to the whole fediverse model. I was just a reddit user that came here after the suck was just too much there.

And even then I had to follow step-by-step directions on how to set up an account. I’ve only been on for less than a month.

I was going to get into Linux right after I retired, but then decided un-retire and went back into the workforce to be an elementary teacher’s aide.

But when I retire again in another year or so, I am gonna look into the the whole Linux thing. Right now I’m Mac-based, so hopefully it won’t be so hard. But I actually can’t wait to learn all about it!

Someone mentioned that any owner of an instance can ban me. Is it possible that the guy who is showing me this “proof,” yet declined to show me any posts, actually owns an instance, and then banned me. Then returned to magically say “Gotcha!”?

Cuz he has been following me for several days and has had some of his comments removed for civility. So I am wondering if it’s some weird persona vendetta. Our conversation is in the thread, but i am beginning to think this is all a fack gotcha to weirdly make him think he has got me or something. I don’t know. I love Lemmy, but man some of these posters…lol

Hmm, but any idea on what post would have banned me and I never received any notification. I did crosspost some socialist community articles to the .MI socialist community now that I think of it.

The user who posted it is trying to make some point that I am an obvious troll and says that I got perma banned for “toxic” behavior and then posted that screenshot. And I couldn’t really reply, because I had no idea what any of it meant! I asked him to post shots of any comments on that instance that would have resulted in a permaban, but he declined.

And thank you for the Kbin.earth invite! I have heard others mention it as well, so I will definitely look into it!
