Yeah I’m a bit north of Toronto, and today has been the only cold day we’ve had in a while. We also have only about an inch of snow right now, and it’s supposed to warm up. So I don’t think we’ll be getting a white Christmas this year
Yeah it’s because he’s white, if he was black the cop would’ve killed him
If I like games like Rimworld and Dyson Sphere Program, would I like this one?
The worst part where I live(Ontario, Canada), they aren’t even high end, they are just insanely expensive. An absolute pile of shit mass-built subdivision home where I live starts at about $500k. Houses where they cut every single corner possible and only hire trade workers under the table or minimum wage. Houses where they pay off inspectors to be able to build without following codes. Houses where they rush every single worker because they are building them as fast as possible. It’s a fucking joke.
Don’t worry, we’ve just gotta hit our growth goals this quarter and everything will be fine
For my grandma just one world war, but it was those fucking stairs
The only side I give a shit about are the civilians just trying to live their lives
I’m a construction worker in Ontario, and I know it’s anecdotal, but almost every trade worker has told me the same thing - we’re busy as hell but we can’t find guys to hire. Pretty much for the past 3 or 4 years, that’s all I’ve heard. I was pretty much hired on the spot when I joined the carpenters union in 2019, and I worked with a 19 year old kid who walked into the union hall the day before, and they asked him if he could start the next day. With literally 0 experience. I think we are really hurting for trade workers.

Yeah that’s why I said relative normalcy. Just like, most people are still going to work every day, grocery stores still have decent stock, regular services and infrastructure is still maintained, etc etc
I figure we’ve got about 10 years of relative normalcy left. After that I feel like the world will be so unstable, famine, wars, mass migration, natural disasters etc. will just cripple humanity
Was probably a diddler himself
Yeah I live in Canada too, in Ontario. There were a couple days where my city had the worst air quality in the world. It was a crazy summer.
Enjoy the next 10 or so years everyone, they’ll likely be the last normal years of your lives.
Man I remember being on the Gamefaqs forums back in like 2005 or so, and people were complaining about this exact scenario back then. Some things never change
