Companies need to stop using Authy. It’s stupid and pointless when we have a open alternative such as the one used by Google Authenticator or Aegis.

Also, Google Authenticator now supports backup. Aegis is another free alternative.
What are your needs, if I may ask?
I agree, but (hot take) I think that Discord is even worse than Facebook.
Let’s not forget that Mozilla (the company) is largely mismanaged, so that doesn’t help.
Also, WebKit was based on KHTML, which was open source and platform independent itself.
I wonder why Microsoft decided to switch from their own engine to Blink, they could’ve switched to Gecko and keep the web a little bit more free
You do need a registration key, but now it’s tied to the hardware so it activates as soon as you connect to the network, no need to actually type the registration key.
I agree, I use Linux. But “normal people” aren’t able to install an operating system, and they can’t easily go to the shop and buy a Linux computer. They can buy a mac though. Still better than nothing.
It’s time to ditch Windows and all move to macOS or (even better) Linux
To be honest, OBS is way more advanced than a screen recording tool. It’s basically a live program director
Discord is awful for everything that’s not live audio chatting. And even in that case, I think Telegram groups work better.
Yes, we just have to collectively make Lemmy grow until it’s a true and complete replacement for classical monolith websites such as Reddit and Facebook groups.
The problem with Facebook is that it’s un-searchable from any search engine. Also, Meta.
From your stats, it’s clear that the first fall was caused by Facebook and smartphones.
Hmm, in my experience Microsoft 365 on Firefox (Linux) works horrendously.
I’m a Firefox user, but when I need to work on OneDrive or Outlook Web I open Chrome because it works way better. And that’s a shame.
Good luck troubleshooting problems when an update of Windows breaks something.
Just switch to Linux and call it a day.
So what’s your trick?
That’s a good idea because then you can always change your mail provider without changing your email address on all websites
It’s completely optional to connect a Google account. You can always back them up using the QR code (just take a picture with another device)
