Ragnor@feddit.dkto No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Should I be worried about "Prompt injection" attacks on my gmail?4·14 days agoIf I got a warning about prompt injections, I would check my browsers add-ons and remove anything that I didn’t absolutely trust. Your email likely contains a lot of personal info that can be used for identity theft and other related things.
Ragnor@feddit.dkto [Migrated, see pinned post] Casual Conversation @lemm.ee•This is how my day started. How about you?English9·29 days agoI like my coffee strong, and a few days ago I put too much in the filter so it went over the edge when it started brewing. That clogged the hole where it was supposed to run out through at the bottom, causing it all to flow over the side instead. From there it went to the front edge the table, and into all the drawers except the very bottom one.
I also don’t have a dishwasher… That was an annoying cleanup.
Ragnor@feddit.dkto Ask Science@lemmy.world•In particle decay, is there a difference when they say "average lifetime" vs "half life"? Also: in the Large Hadron Collider, how long does a particle collision event (or experiment) last?English1·4 months ago“Average” and “median” are not the same thing. Anyone who uses those about the same thing have misunderstood the concepts.
I totally agree. There are three small words that a lot of people need to use more often:
“I think that…”
Being able to distinguish between opinions and things that you can prove is right is important for debates. The goal is to reach the best conclusion, and you cannot do that if you base the conclusion on falsehoods.
