I’ve been saving my waste and refuse for this very bin
I have over 500 titles in my backlog of shame (loads of freebies, but still shameful). If I play a new game every week, it’ll take me 10 years to get through it.
What if some are absolute bangers and I sink 300+ hours in? I’ll never be finished!
But what if none of them are? For 10 years I’d have slogged through a quagmire of mediocrity for nothing other than to tick a series of boxes.
Everett fucking obliterated that man.
Maybe we need to come up with a way to deface oil company buildings that does make headlines
But why Stonehenge? Why not oil company buildings? I believe oil companies generally have buildings. Large buildings. With their names on them.
Book of Boba Fett would have been a decent Star Wars story if it was the Book of Bib Fortuna seizing power.
Boba Fett was saved by Tuscans, but spends the whole show talking about protecting “his people”, the city folk.
It’s like if James Bond was left for dead and rescued by Navajo, then became sheriff of Albequerque and needed to keep the streets clean for the saloon and “his people”.
It’s not the character we know, and it doesn’t even make sense as a character arc!
I don’t know anything about EV efficiency, but the rates are inverse, so they are drastically different.
Fish gets 3.3kwh/mile
Peacock gets 4 miles/kwh or 0.25kwh/mile
Diplomacy. They can improve diplomacy. Will they? Absolutely not. But they could.
In other news, Canadians average fewer limbs than typical humans but enjoy 4 square kilometers of land per person!

Carbon taxes need a caveat that prices cannot change due to the tax. Otherwise it’s just another way for big business to profit.
“We had to raise our prices because of the carbon tax!”
“But the tax is 8% and your prices have gone up 20%”
shrugs “Dunno. Carbon tax.”
Even with those precautions, I wouldn’t characterize it as SUPER affordable. At least closer to a fair trade
Jokes on you, commie! Space is part of the US of A. You put a flag up there, it’s yours. Thems the rules.
I pause videos to read what’s on screen.
The add on I need is to automatically send the advertiser a message telling them I’m boycotting their product due to their participation in increasingly shitty advertising.
Theft is up? Raise prices to compensate.
Increased headwind on distribution trucks? Raise prices to compensate.
Mars is in retrograde? Raise prices to compensate.
Supply stabilized and reduced our costs on goods? Raise prices to compensate.
Its not exactly a threat if you’re going to do it anyway!
Remember that time there was a 95% tax bracket and civilization stopped because no one had an incentive to produce goods, offer services, and innovate technologies?
Me neither.
The rich want dictionary definition fair?
How about everyone pays taxes until everyone has the same remaining wealth?
Want to pay less in taxes? Lower your prices. Give to charity. Buy the lower 40% homes and just give them to them so now they’re forced to pay more taxes.
No, the rich want fair to mean everyone owes the same dollar value in taxes, and if that’s more than the bottom 40% can afford, their private bank will loan them some money.
So you literally only want food & shelter? You have no desire to eat from a restaurant, or drink an unnecessary beverage, or watch a movie, or see a play, or travel beyond where you can walk, or any minor luxury if it meant having to work at a grocery store?
Wouldn’t you argue that someone working at a grocery store or any other current minimum wage job should be able to do all that with just minimum wage? Then why not UBI and less than minimum wage?
Maybe 40-50 an hour for one month isn’t a good enough draw because if you don’t get another job immediately you begin the spiral back into poverty. Stability is more important to most people.
Remember, it’s only bad when “The Media” does it.
