Yup. Or Musk never expected to pay the fine, so his lawyers never bothered to research the bank where he owed the money.
I hope the government didn’t let Musk leave the country until his fine was settled.

I like the SearX search engine. It gives old-school, relevant search results, not Google ranked ones.
It’s also spread out over many separate instances, so you can pick the one that best suits your search needs:
" . . . and an RV and a garage full of boats and jet skis."
Also, “2019 M”? Your close family friend is over 2000 years old? Is the close family friend Sauron?
Anyone who has made copies of videotapes knows what happens to the quality of each successive copy. You’re not making a “treasure trove.” You’re making trash.
I’m actually enjoying the Linux learning curve because I know it’s not working against my interests.
On the other hand, every time I’ve had to go “under the hood” with Windows (Registry settings, config files) it’s been to prevent Microsoft from doing something sh*tty to me.
Microsoft also wants to use 50 gigabytes of your hard drive space (for the Recall snapshots) and make you buy AI co-processors or their software won’t work. They want to use your property to create their own Skynet.
A lot of these streaming services are ultimately owned by the same company. Ever had a favorite show, where only seasons 1,3 and 5 are available on one “service” and only seasons 2 and 4 are available on the other? This lets the owner of the series double-dip customers on subscription fees.
“Privatize the profits and socialize the risks.” (for billionaires)
“But we can’t let poor people get handouts. That’s socialism.”
AI is a ponzi scheme to relieve stupid venture capitalists of their money.
I have never heard of ANY of these services and I download a lot of stuff.
I grew up watching WW2 movies and the Nazis were never shown as being anything other than Bad Guys. I would love to know how anyone grows up here in the U.S. and doesn’t know that.
Who would have guessed that a social media platform owned by an apartheid-loving fascist would trend right wing? I mean, Musk is such a stable genius.
/s just in case.
Also, almost every older game, like Deus Ex or Giants: Citizen Kabuto, I can run separately under Wine. The only game that doesn’t quite work is NOLF 1. No music. (I can’t seem to get DirectMusic working properly in Wine yet).
My entire Steam library works on Linux Mint.
YouTube is also aggravating customers who use their official apps by increasing the frequency and length of the ads. In just 4-5 months, I’ve seen YouTube ad lengths on Roku go from 10-15 seconds to 30 seconds, to a minute.
They’re trying to recoup lost ad revenue by pissing off the one demographc most likely to sit in front of the TV the longest.
“Why are our sales plummeting?”
Because you didn’t spend any part of that price hike on improving the quality of your food.
“Butters? Are you on Twitter?”
“No Dad! Just watching porn!”
1980’s conservatives: “Why don’t you move to Russia if you don’t like it here?”
2020’s conservatives: “Why don’t we move to Russia if we don’t like it here?”
I think the best way to make the Internet less sh*tty is to get away from Google search.
