Luckily between Amazon and ESPN+ I can meet most of my sportsball needs. For those not on the apps, there are websites that can assist.

I used to be into that, but Kodi started to become a pain after all the streamer quality got low, I had to pay for RealDebrid just to get a decent stream, I never quite got sports streaming to work with any of the apps, and the Firestick itself got ungodly slow over time.
I have PCs hooked up to all my TVs, so if I can’t find something on my streamers I can just open up my browser and google a solution.
Dude I use Lemmy to not see ads, why are you posting this?
The 65-year-old shook, pulled against restraints and gasped for breath for several minutes before dying, journalists who witnessed the execution said.
More barbaric torture. The death penalty is an embarrassment and should be outlawed.
Contained? Sure. Letting them run wild in areas where they’re not native makes them have the same effect as an invasive species.
It’s not ethical to let your cats outside at all.
Vanilla Ubuntu vs. Windows 10? I’ll take Windows.
If it’s like Kubuntu or Xubuntu vs. Windows 11, then I’ll take Ubuntu, but currently my jam is Debian with XFCE.
What nonsense. Debate questions aren’t exactly rocket science.
I predict at the VP debate:
There, just fed both candidates 90% of the debate questions.
But she wouldn’t have?
Before Netflix I wasn’t buying hundreds of DVDs per year. It doesn’t make sense to claim that use of a service, even a free one, constitutes “savings” based on hypothetical behavior where you would have bought all the content individually at list price.
Dpkg is the low level tool for Debian packages.
Apt-get is the original frontend for dpkg. It is a full featured tool that lets the user give commands to dpkg, along with apt-cache, which displays information to the user.
Apt is a high level tool for user friendliness. It combines some features from apt-get and apt-cache, as well as adds progress bars and other quality of life features. It also strips down some features the average user doesn’t use.
So neither is a wrapper for the other. They are two similar tools that do the same job. Apt-get is better for scripting due to being a more rigid tool while apt is nicer for end users.
Sure you can!
Get a coin, and flip it 100 times. Record each time it lands on heads/tails.
Now get a devout believer, and have the believer continuously say devout prayers petitioning God to make the coin read heads. Then, flip the coin 100 times, and record heads/tails.
Do statistical analysis to see whether there is a statistically significant difference between the control group and the prayer group. Pretty easy to verify if true.
Why the hell isn’t the DNC able to sue his ass for libel?
Lemmy’s feed is 1000% better. No constant reposts, no ads, and ability to filter out read posts so it’s actually unique every day. I like it way better for news than reddit.
Reddit is better for browsing individual communities.
Apple announced that beginning with iOS 18.1, third-party developers will be able to enable tap-to-pay transactions in their own apps. Users will also be able to set a default app for contactless payments and change what happens when they double-click the power button.
“After the debate, Trump gained 5 percentage points in the polls.”
Want to wager on it? Loser donates $20 to Harris?
I really hope he is this disoriented at the debate.
Yeah, that’s a load of crap. A 2020 meta analysis found that the numbers are 1/10 that, and 2/3 of those people are those who had less than 3 months to live. In other words, medical errors tend to “kill” people who are already dying, and the number of healthy people for whom medical errors are the primary cause of death are exceedingly low.
Reducing medical errors is important, but making up nonsense statistics to grab headlines is just going to fuel the anti-medicine rhetoric even further.
What do you mean?
Impeachment is just a natural thing that happens to every politician, usually about twice a term. Just ask Trump.
