I quite enjoyed the book. I agree there wasn’t much new, but it did feel like a nice stepping stone between Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, and the original trilogy.

Replying to myself with This CTV News Article from April 2023:
Once a new portrait subject has been selected, the banknote design process begins, and the banknote is ready to be issued a few years later,” Ferron-Craig told CTVNews.ca in an email on April 12.
So we can probably expect a banknote featuring king Charles in the next year or so.
He’s on a lot of coins now. It was jarring the first time I saw him, but I’ve more or less gotten used to it.
Paper money doesn’t have him, but not all bills have Queen Elizabeth either. Most of our bills feature notable Canadians and Historic Prime Ministers.
Or maybe sleep-post?
“Elbows Up” became popular after Mike Myers appeared on SNL at the beginning of March, weeks before the Canadian Election was called near the end of March.

My personal favorite (that I’ve tried so far at least) is the Bar Mix, but some of the others look really good too. I’ve bought them at no frills and superstore, but according to the website it may be available at Costco as well, or it seems like they have some decent online shopping options!
According to the privacy policy page they use the phone number only to send a verification code. Maybe you could use a virtual number type app for that… I have no idea how secure something like that would be I’ve never used one.
I enjoyed the Saskatoon berry flavour! Haven’t tried the root beer though.
Seems like a lot of “maybe” from Donald and not a lot else. I’ll believe (any of it) it when I see it.
Saskatoon has 2 working historic theaters, but neither are quite as old as what’s mentioned here(Broadway Theatre was built in the mid 40s and Roxy was opened in the 30s). I think it would be fantastic to revive more of those old theaters. They are beautiful additions to community.
For what it’s worth they are one of the “good guys” who treat their employees very well and have refused to kneel to all the anti-D.E.I. stuff going on, plus they employ a lot of Canadians. So if you are going to shop at an American owned company Costco is better than many. I’d chose it over Walmart any day.
Enjoyed the breakdown.
It’s also nice to see Carneys more personable side, after all the comments about him being standoffish and aloof.
I think he’s a serious person doing a serious job, but he’s still a normal guy behind all that.
For what it’s worth, The fornix cup is very different than the diva cup, if she is interested in trying something different. Some people find disks much easier to use than a regular style cup.
Otherwise I don’t know of any Canadian tampon brands.
I use cetaphil and 3 out of 4 of my products all have a “made in Canada” label. The fourth is from the USA. So it’s worth checking the label before purchasing.
Good read but bad AI thumbnail.
Nice! Thanks for the review! I’m surprised we don’t have more cereal companies/manufacturers in Canada.
Ooh, somehow I missed this comment! Excited to hear that it’s being considered!
As kids (living in the interior of BC) we did Easter egg hunts, but I don’t think we did Easter goody baskets.
As an adult living in Saskatchewan I have a coworker who makes huge Easter baskets for her grandkids.
It could be a regional thing, or a religious thing, but some people just love going all-out on things.
Edit: just watched the video and I don’t know anyone who makes Easter baskets like that…those are extreme. Usually it’s dollarama stuff I think.
Hardbite chips. So many flavors and they’re all so delicious. My fave (so far) are the Wild Onion and Yogurt, but the Wasabi and Ranch are a close second.
Cake hair products.
They smell so good, and so far I’ve enjoyed the products I’ve tried. Good for curly/wavy hair too.
Formulated and made in Canada, by a Canadian/Global company. Cruelty free and vegan too.
They have skin care as well, but I haven’t had a chance to try those. I’d love to hear from anyone who has!
