Absolutely. Imagine how cool summons and area magics would be when they light up your room.

FF Tactics is a VR/XR dream port of mine. I’d love to see those battle arenas set up on my coffee table, with the ability to actually move the pieces around like chess.

I’m not really a fan of Facebook, but I’m kind of wanting a Quest 3 because the cost of the AVP and other headsets just reinforce how much of a value it must be. Maybe it’s just early days, but the AVP just doesn’t do enough of what I want from a headset at even half its price point.
I do want to see what an AV (non pro) will bring to the table, but I think Meta is in a better position to impress with their next Quest headset now that apple has laid their cards on the table. They could sell a quest 4 at twice the price of a quest 3, add in whatever new technologies that might afford, and still be insanely more affordable than an AVP.
I’ve been in the Apple ecosystem for pretty much most of my life, and I’m all for what the AVP is bringing to the table. However, one VR enthusiast Youtuber I watched recently (Thrillseeker) put down the most compelling argument against the AVP I’ve seen thus far. The AVP does well what all the other headsets don’t, but the AVP also kind of sucks at what other headsets have learned to do well. At the price of the AVP, not only could you buy a Quest 3, but you’d have enough leftover to just build an entire VR Gaming rig to back it up. Then you’d have a setup exponentially more capable than what the AVP is offering.
I think I would still stick to the current form factor. Repairability and comfort are of greater concern to me at this stage in my life than pocketability.
The number of police cars they decided to scramble for that chase is absolutely absurd in retrospect. They must have done that for show.
Having a secure and comfortable, well-paying job with health benefits before I die.
Sigh…
Wait… people are still trick or treating??
On an iPhone 12 Mini, I wasn’t able to see the options for the “how would you rate” questions until I held my phone horizontally. Just sharing that now in case it affects anyone else.
Actually, the reinstall fixed it! I went into the settings and found an option that allowed me to export my custom emulation/controller profiles and game data, so I was also able to keep all of that intact. Thank you.
Thanks for the reply. I’ll try uninstalling and reinstalling the app later. I was reluctant to try because I’m worried what might happen to my custom game settings.
I really got into the foundation series by Isaac Asimov.
I think the best way to fight fake news is to ensure people know how to recognize, verify, and respond to it. That’s already more work than most people are willing to put into it, but I don’t think it would hurt if someone with the know-how put together a simple tutorial thread and got it stickied to the whole instance somehow.
Unless of course he doesn’t want people without credit cards on the platform anymore. I doubt they matter much to him, and perhaps he wants X to exist for the privileged only.
I’m glad you brought this up. I imagine true AI would be able to take information and actually surmise original ideas from it. LLMs simply state what is already known using natural language. A human is still necessary if any new discoveries are expected to be made with that information.
To answer OP’s question, the only thing that concerns me about “the rise of AI” is that people are convincing themselves it’s actual AI and then assuming it can make serious decisions on their behalf.
I imagine there will eventually be businesses that aggregate data specifically to sell to LLM businesses. Like photostock but with a bunch of LLM conversational stuff.
With a mere 100 days left on my PS+ Extra subscription, an upgrade to Premium tier for the remaining time was just $5. That netted me both Saints & Sinners games for PSVR2 as well as a few others, including a 1 hour free trial of Demeo, which I fully intend to take advantage of.
