I know several families who hve done the math and concluded that self-insurance, where you just bank the premiums, has worked very well. Most have young families.

This’ll never get solved as long as the Conservative/Recalcitrant Coalition continues to give Australia away to foreign corporations for pennies on the dollar.
I voted for Labor last time on the hope they would do something. Nada.
Will be voting more radical next time.

unfortunately, 30% of mercans voted for this. Another 30% decided it wasn’t important enough to vote. So there you have it: Abracadabra - a failed state.

SAP does this too. I watched as a ‘license enforcement’ mob conjured up an ‘ indirect user ‘ concept to charge a top 10 ( in our country) client $10million for misusing SAP software for payroll and finance. The group was called Global Customer Assistance or some similar euphemism. It was all bogus. The client immediately started a program to rip out all SAP software. To my knowledge this is now complete. This customer abuse program was started when a number of senior execs moved from Oracle to SAP in the US.

The Whitehouse Ballroom is predicted to cost $230 million. I wonder. A coincidence?

I, and many people in my social and business circles, would vote for a state or commonwealth politician who would run with this to a real implementation. My electorate is mcEwen. Any takers?

The way the allies have been dissed by the frump mob suggests that they might be on their own now. Good luck suckers.

qantas care factor is about zero
Los americanos wont sanction Russia, but they want everyone else to sanction Cuba? hmmm.

Could these replace the dashcam in my car?

Loved reading this. I found exactly the same on the long hikes I’ve done. Havent done Apalachian trail, but have done The Camino, Francigena, Kumano Kodo.

It takes a lot to produce an unplanned belly laugh, but this succeeded. Well done!
kind of too late now. You guys should have been awake a year ago.

As an amateur history reader, particularly the late Roman Empire (Byzantium), i found this fascinating. Favourite phrase? the “protestantianisation of Islam!”

Exactly what america voted for. Snake oil salespeople.

This is a very interesting read. I have been sitting on a decision to either go batteries to reduce my own demand on the grid versus a VPP. This article helps explain why VPPs are another way for corporations to get consumers to pay for infrastructure. Just like how banks need you to have a phone to be able to partake in the payments infrastructure. In my country banks are closing atms and branches.

No wonder the volunteered for military service.

A couple of interesting developments this week:
At what point do we decide that neither side of politics is doing us any good?
Looka a lot like Albanese has
This. This. This.
