I ran across a list of comics that were increasing in value and there were the obvious ones… 1st appearance of Madame Web (Amazing Spider-Man #210), 1st appearance of Binary (X-Men #164), but #1 on the list was Alien Legion #1…

What the… what? WHAT?

I LOVED Alien Legion when it came out back in 1984. “French Foreign Legion in Space!” what’s not to like about that concept?

The artwork from Frank Cirocco was absolutely fantastic, the characters are great.

The original run at Epic Comics was just 20 issues, then it came back in 1987 for a 17 issue run.

In among all that there were a couple of original graphic novels and one shots (Grey Day to Die - 1986, Jugger Grimrod - 1991, Binary Deep - 1993).

Dark Horse did a couple of Omnibus volumes reprinting the whole run, Titan Comics did some 3 issue mini-series…

This is one of the great “forgotten” books of the 1980s, along with stuff like Grim Jack, Scout, and Journey. Worth a look before the movie comes out…

These rags were amazing! I lost all my comics in a storage fire a while ago, and I made a point to hunt these down digitally. Hope they don’t fuck it up!
