I’ve put together a collage of some books from last months What are you Reading? post. It’s mostly random, but the more discussion something gets the more it stands out to me. Going forward I’m going to make a new post every month to talk about what people are reading.

Here is last months post. What are you Reading? (July 2023)

At any rate, what are you currently reading or plan to read in August?

Between books right now, but I can’t recommend A Canticle for Leibowitz enough. A depressing, albeit highly necessary, classic.

I just picked up a copy, thinking I might read it for the third time. My dad got me into it when I was like 12, then I reread it ten years ago or so.

I don’t often read classic sf, but this book is really great, IMO.

Really enjoyed Derek Künsken’s stuff lately when it comes to modern sci Fi.

I came up on just a bit too much classic sci-fi. It’s one of the few ones that I feel really stands the test of time – but it’s been at least ten years since I’ve read it. That ending, though, haunts me to this day…
