The Amazing Digital Circus is a psychological dark comedy about cute cartoon characters who hate their lives and want to leave!
That was so much better than I was expecting. Genuinely good, with great characters and a premise that kept up its intrigue. Excited to see more.

So this animation randomly exploded and made it’s way onto my frontpage.
I watched it just out of curiosity and have been kind of obsessed over it ever since, so I thought I’d share it with the fediverse.
To add a little bit of background on why this video went viral, it should be noted that this is produced by indie animation studio called “Glitch” and the creator called “Gooseworx” had a following from a previous animation. I can imagine the artstyle in this one is not everybodies cup of tea, but I am personally amazed by it and very intrigued!
Not really random considering the team is really popular due to a previous animated series they made. They was a lot of hype for this new series before it released and its now getting a lot of love
So when is the rest coming out?
This is only the pilot and they’re trying to get the series greenlit.
Uhhh considering the amount of views and the hype it generated, I hope they reached their goal?
But in terms of production, well, no idea how long it will take. If they want to make a whole season with episodes on this quality level, then I can imagine you might have to wait 1~2 years minimum? But that’s just my uninformed opinion, take it with a grain of salt. Might be more, might be less.So they haven’t made any announcements yet it sounds like. Damn I guess I’m in for a long wait. Probably will forget by then.
wellp, glitch is going in my “really slow” YT subscription group, I dont want to loose their next upload
I guess it’s supposed to be like an Anime version of ‘Severance’ or something? Eh.
There’s nothing anime in this? You mean an animated version of severance?
The motions, reactions, voice, and eyes are all manga/anime-inspired without question, but rendered instead of drawn. Change my mind.
“anime” is so loosely defined that debating if it belongs in the “anime” bucket is pointless
