This year’s uptake of the updated Covid-19 vaccine appears to be somewhat slower than last year’s, according to data from the US Department of Health and Human Services and the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

More than 7 million Americans have received a dose of the latest vaccines, HHS said Thursday. The CDC recommended vaccines from Moderna and Pfizer/BioNTech for everyone 6 months and older on September 12; an updated vaccine from Novavax became available this month and is recommended for people 12 and over.

I tried, my local pharmacies ran out within days. Waiting for them to restock, they can’t give me an estimate. Not sure why they predicted they would need so few doses, we live in an area where most people are vaccinated

    I have been trying.

But all my local pharmacies are out and aren’t scheduling appointments until stock is back up. It’s total hit and miss.

As far as I can tell my state doesn’t have any available with no real information on when they will be available

I was lucky to get both my COVID and flu shot at my doctor’s because I am pregnant. I am grateful I was able to get them

Just got ours yesterday along with the flu vaccine and I’m still a little weak and ran a slight fever. We were at the pharmacy for an hour (don’t know what took them so long) but there was literally no one else getting any immunizations. Maybe we were just lucky that a new shipment came in.

Ooh, just over 2% of the eligible population! That “despite” does not belong in the headline. Although to be fair, they’re probably trying not to add negative associations.

I’d be glad to get it if I didn’t have to pay for it.

Edit: yes, down votes because I am expected to pay cash for a vaccine developed by my tax dollars.
