first shot: real prop with keyed UI panel. second shot: VFX version on the suit model.
as someone who consumes a lot of entertainment or as a creator, how did the VFX in the Flash (2023) seem to you? The movie has been delayed, changed director, writers and been reshot extensively. If this is the result it’s at least interesting to see shots like this in a $300+ million summer blockbuster. I also feel for VFX workers who had to do crunchtime and come up with passable solutions like this because of the unrealistic deadlines hollywood execs came up with.
I know I’m an outlier here, but I really enjoyed the movie. The CGI wasn’t perfect, but I don’t care. There’s so much CGI in the movie, some was bound to be shite. It’s WB after all, what haven’t they fucked up in recent years? I think the bigger problem is the association with Ezra Miller and this version of Flash being pretty childish and weird.
But I love a good Flashpoint story, and I’m excited about Gunn’s DC.
The movie was better than expected. Worth it for the 15-20min of batman definitely.
That’s interesting. I didn’t enjoy Batman in this
Well it was mostly CGI anyways so batfleck and keaton are barely in it.
