Yeah I just skip comments if I see they’re from Lemmy.ml.
I hate that instance.
That instance got blocked on my end and unfortunately Vegantheoryclub.org has similar issues.
I haven’t actually seen any comments from that instance, I wonder if ee federates with them?
Given how that instance got started, it doesn’t surprise me they have some extreme views.
They’re one of the smaller ones at 77 users and they’re federated with lemm.ee.
I’m guessing they also don’t interact all that much outside their instance, too.
They tend to hang around vegan spaces.
I’m out of the loop, can someone explain the joke?
Lemmy.ml has a reputation for really bad takes, and the mods and admins ban people for not supporting the admins’ favorite genocides.
I see, that makes more sense. Thanks for the explanation!
Is there a joke?
I assumed so, since this meme format usually is.
I know it should but no idea what. Seems more like just op mad
oh i’m sure the comments on this post will be real civil
I wish you could block out all the ml users from commenting or replying to your stuff when you block the instance.
I also wish more instances defederated from them but maybe the admins are scared it would discourage the developers from continuing the project.
You can block the instance because their mods are dick heads and their users sometimes say things you disagree with, or you can keep trying to splinter Lemmy, one is more productive than the other.
On the virtue that the username’s instance doesn’t matter? Sure.
I doubt that is the aim of the meme’s take though.
