Nobel prizes are meaningless but I think Pulitzers have some reputation, the article only mentions one.

Also I like how it states the authors the letter is directed it numbers more than 1000 lol. Don’t think they’re gonna care about missing out on a small number of genocidal maniacs…

Man, they could have made the letter something that would persuade people about the importance of ideas and how no nation is a monolith, but they just couldn’t help but make it a blatantly “Israel is right” letter.

“We continue to be shocked and disappointed to see members of the literary community harass and ostracise their colleagues because they don’t share a one-sided narrative in response to the greatest massacre of Jews since the Holocaust.

“Israel is fighting existential wars against Hamas and Hezbollah…"

Someone here is obfuscating reality, and it’s not the boycotters. These people are insane.

      They are actually insane.

This is like the Nazis, while operating death camps saying that the Nazis are the ones facing genocide.

        It’s a well-worn propaganda tactic, unfortunately. Well-worn because it’s effective.

I expected to see Barack Obama on that list not Ozzy Osbourne. Shame on him.

Skimmed the list quickly but the majority is irrelevant nobodies. They have make-up artists and politicians on there.

I would love to hear what’s their proposed tactic to pressure Israel to stop oppressing the Palestinians. Becausez motherfuckers, if violence is not an acceptable taxtic, and (peaceful!!!) boycotts are not an acceptable tactic, the what the fuck is an acceptable tactic that people who disagree with your stupid ass rosy picture of this apartheid state are allowed to use? Painting their toenails?

"The exclusion of anyone who doesn’t unilaterally condemn Israel is an inversion of morality and an obfuscation of reality.”

their solution is for everybody to unilaterally accept Israel as the picture of morality despite concluding the genocide and colonization of Palestine.
