Weird they fucked up a pretty big detail that Beryl had grown back into a Cat 1 by the time it hit the Texas coast.

(Utility pole snapped, a block away from me, by a tree).

      A. You are not wrong.

      B. All the damn trees knocking out power lines everywhere. Beryl just said fuck you to all the cedars and live oaks.

That will require passing regulations to ensure quality, and contracting someone who isn’t related to a government official.

That’s not gonna be easy in Texas.

          I agree with you.

They would have to convince the Public Utilities Commission, and the cost would be passed to the subscriber. But I think it would clearly be worth it ok the long run.

They may already be working toward this, since it is already being done along a nearby major road.

While innocents dying is tragic, I really can’t feel very sorry for anyone who sticks it out in disaster-prone areas. Especially when said disasters are exacerbated by their idiotic political choices in said states. I’m reminded of one lady who rebuilt her home in Florida 3 goddamn times after subsequent hurricanes. Like dude, fucking move inland. If you insist on staying in a Red, hick State, Tennessee has elevation on its side at least.
