I like to browse with the “Show Read Posts” setting disabled as it keeps the feed fresh, however there’s times where I’d like to go into a specific community and see all of the posts including the hidden ones. Right now the only way to do that is to go into settings and toggle the setting on my profile. On reddit you could add ?show=all
to the url to show the stuff that’s hidden. Is there a lemmy equivalent, or is toggling the only option for now.
I’m not aware of a workaround other than your suggestion to flip-flop the setting. I guess you could open the community in a private or unlogged-in browser.
But generally the experience around hiding read posts is pretty janky right now. It also hides your own posts in your profile view which is more than a bit silly since you have always read your own posts and wouldn’t be viewing your own profile unless you wanted to see one of them again.
