Opinions/Views are not something you stand for and hold on to recklessly. Like scientific consensus, you should discard them like meaningless scraps of paper whenever you find a better one to carry about.
Now, fighting for good things in the world is definitely a thing that needs doing, but if it turns out you’ve been pushing the wrong side of an issue you should stop the very second you realize that.
I interpret it slightly differently: having a wrong opinion is better than having no opinion, because you can change your mind. Still not sure how much I agree, but it’s at least debatable
